1. 世博会标志的内容

本文件所称世博会标志，是指上海世博会的名称及其简称、主题词、会徽、吉祥物、口号和其他标志，具体内容见附件《可供使用的上海世博会标志清单》（以下简称“《标志清单》”），组织者将适时对《标志清单》进行调整和更新，并及时告知各官方参展者。组织者还将适时公布《世博会标志使用手册》，为官方参展者使用世博会标志提供技术规范和指引。

2. 世博会标志的使用

2.1 一般规定

根据上海世博会《一般规章》第二十四条第5 款，世博会的名称、形象、会徽、标志、吉祥物和内容等，未经组织者事先批准，都不得在世博会展馆内外使用，不管是否用于商业目的，不管是以布告板、标志、印刷品、照片、图画、电子形象、因特网还是任何其他形式使用。组织者有权采取一切必要行动，以有效制止不符合本文件要求的使用行为。

2.2 使用申请

除本文件第2.3部分列出的情形外，官方参展者欲使用世博会标志时，应当填写《官方参展者使用世博会标志申请表》（具体格式将另行公布），并向组织者提出申请。组织者在接到上述申请后，将在合理的时间内书面答复是否准许使用相关世博会标志。对基于非商业目的使用世博会标志的情形，组织者将不收取任何费用。此免费使用的期限以组织者批准的时间为准，但原则上不应超过2010年10月31日。

2.3 对官方参展者的一般许可

官方参展者基于非商业目的使用世博会标志，同时符合以下条件的，无须经过上海世博会组织者事先批准：

a. 用于该官方参展者的官方网站、宣传海报、工作人员名片、免费散发的信息手册、会议报告、旗帜、横幅、标语；且

b. 使用行为不能使他认为其他商业组织与上海世博会组织者之间存在世博会标志的许可使用关系；且

c. 符合《世博会标志使用手册》及本文件的其他规定。官方参展者的展区总代表应及时将标志使用情况向组织者的标志管理办公室进行备案。

K. Use of Expo Symbols

1. Content of Expo Symbols

The “Expo symbols” referred to in this document include the title and its short forms, theme, logo, mascot, slogans and other symbols of Expo 2010. Details can be found in the annexed “List of Expo Symbols Available for Use by Official Participants” (the “List of Symbols”). The Organizer will adjust and update in due time the List of Symbols and promptly notify the official participants. The Organizer will also release in due time a “Handbook for the Use of the Expo Symbols”, providing technical specifications and guidelines for official participants in their use of the Expo symbols.

2. Use of Expo Symbols

2.1 General Provisions

According to Paragraph 5, Article 24 of the General Regulations of Expo 2010 Shanghai China, the titles, images, logos, marks, mascots, and contents of the Exposition may not be used either inside or outside the Exposition site, without prior approval of the Organizer, whether for commercial purposes or not, be they in the form of boards, signs, printed matters, photos, drawings, electronic images, internet or in any other form. The Organizer has the right to take all necessary actions against any use of the Expo symbols that violates the relevant provisions contained in this document.

2.2 Application for Use

Official participants who intend to use the Expo symbols shall submit an application to the Organizer with a completed “Application Form for Official Participants to Use the Expo Symbols” (to be released later) except in the situations described in section 2.3 below. Upon the receipt of the Application Form, the Organizer shall reply in written form within a reasonable period of time to indicate whether or not the application to use the Expo symbols is approved. The Organizer shall not charge any fee for the use of Expo symbols by official participants for non-commercial purposes. The period for the use of Expo symbols is subject to the approval. However, it shall be not later than October 31, 2010 inclusive.

2.3 General Permission Granted to Official Participants

No prior approval by the Organizer shall be needed for the use of Expo symbols by official participants for non-commercial purposes, which simultaneously falls into the requirements specified as follows:

a. The Expo symbols are used on a participant’s official website, posters and flyers, business cards of its staff, brochures distributed free of charge, meeting reports, flags, banners, placards and slogans; and

b. The use of Expo symbols shall not mislead people to infer license relationships between the Organizer and any commercial organization; and

c. The Expo symbols are used in compliance with other regulations contained in the “Handbook for the Use of the Expo Shanghai Symbols” and in this document. The Commissioner General of Section representing the official participant shall promptly report to and file with the Expo Symbols Administration Office of the Organizer with regards to the actual use of Expo symbols.
